WINDSHIELD FOR A "72?

Newbie in Seattle. Are there any good sources for new windshiels

Any Auto Glass shop will have them. I purchased one from "Genuine Auto Glass" in Tacoma a couple of years ago.

Your local dealer would have to order it for you if you want original and you get to inspect it before taking it to the shop. I ordered mine from the dealer and it will probably be more expensive than the local glass shop tho.

See if your local glass shop can get you a Pilkington brand glass for your car. They are the OEM that supplies the 2002 windshields for BMW now. Often you can get the Pilkington glass a lot cheaper through a glass shop than paying the BMW prices. The only difference is that the non-BMW branded windshield won't have the BMW logo on the glass.

Oh, and if you're replacing the windshield seal, go with an original BMW seal. The aftermarket seals don't fit very well. It's worth the extra bucks to buy the real deal BMW seal. Good luck,
