1976 BMW 2002 For Sale

I am selling my 1976 BMW 2002 in good condition. I bought the car two years ago with the intent to restore and learn more about cars along the way.

The car has been great and a lot of fun to drive, but now that my career goals have changed, I cannot keep the car. I am selling the car to pay for my teaching credential.

The car is in really good shape. After I bought the car, I had the engine restored and they completed the following work:

-Starter Assembly (remove and replace)

*Starter (rebuilt) bosch E-10/E-21

-Oil Pump Splined Shaft Type E-10

-Exhaust Manifold

-Timing Chain w/o Master Link Dbl Row E-10

-Cylinder Head

-Head Gasket Set 2002 E-10

-Water Pump

-Piston, Ring, and Wristpin Set

-Rod Bearing Set

-Main BEaring Set Standard E-10

-Machine Cylinder Head

-Machine Engine Block

-Engine assembly (remove install overhaul)

-Timing Chain (incl. guide and tensioner)

-Crankshaft (remove and replace)

-Main Bearing (remove and replace)

-Piston & Rod-pin (remove and replace)

-Piston Ring Set (remove and replace)

-Oil Pump (replace)

-Rocker Arm Assembly

-Camshaft (remove and replace)

-Cylinder Head Gasket (remove and replace)

-Radiator Hose (remove and replace-upper/lower)

Since the engine rebuilt, I have logged under 4,000 miles. I have replaced the front brake rotors, pads, and brake hardware kit.

The car needs to the following:

-Carburetor (the car starts, and runs well, but shakes when idle. The mechanic informed me that I needed to replace the carburetor)

-Smog (it did not pass the smog test, and I haven't had the funds to make necessary changes)

-Has AC, but the system needs to be fixed

The body has no rust, and paint is three years old.

The car is perfect for someone that is willing to invest a little more to get it to it's potential.
