Driving lamps

Where can I buy proper vintage driving lamps for my 1975 2002? Also, where is the correct place to mount them to the front bumper? Plus anything else about driving lamps worth geeking about. Thanks

These are certainly not the quality of the Hellas, but at 38.96 a set -- the price is right! I've purchased some things from this vendor before and had a nice experience.

Figure what you want them for.

Looks only, lighting only, or a combination of both.

For looks only, like on a show car, you can find the original style early Hellas. They were also found on Mercedes from the early 70's. Prices are going up on these. If you drop $200 for a set, are you going to be OK with them getting pitted and or cracked from daily use?

For lighting only, get whatever you can afford. Slap them on the front of the car and drive. Who cares what they look like as long as they liht up the road.

If you are like most of us, you'll want something that gives decent light and won't break your wallet if you were having to replace them. I think the chrome back Hella 160's fit that bill. There are cheaper lights out there, but it could be hit or miss on the quality of components or light output. Hellas are known good.

I was visiting 2002 AD last week and they have some 'vintage ' lights for sale. A little more cost than the new ones, but they are vintage. Go to 2002ad.com for more info, but you will need to call Ben for more details.
