Heater Control Light Bulbs

Quick question, got the driver side heater control panel lit, the passenger side is dark. RealOEM parts diagrams shows the driver side with a bulb, the passenger without. I also did a forum search and it appears that early cars are unlit and later cars, around '73 got the light bulbs. Before I remove the passenger side control panel, is it correct that on my car both sides will have the bulbs? The little #74 bulbs.

If your car is '73 or later, both sides are lit. If your controls have black rectangles with white type, they are supposed to be lit. Left side has levers for defrost-off and heat-off, right side has off-fan and heat temp, cold-warm.
