10 slat kidney grille

I'd like to replace the 8-slat kidneys that a PO put on my 67 1600-2. I think it's supposed to have 10-slats. If you've got a nice 10-slat center grille I will take it off your hands. BTW, I'm in Seattle. Thanks.

Unless you're building a premier concours competitor, be happy with what you've got-------------- unless BMW starts making repros. then it's a whole new ball game.

Ten slat "kidneys" are as rare as hen's teeth. If you ever get in a bidding war with a collector and/or restorer, I think the cost will be "Por$che unobtainium". Maybe then you'll be able "to take it off their hands".

I hear you, and thanks for the advice, but doesn't Maximillian show the mid-60s NK grilles available for around $265? Don't they interchange?

Don't know 'bout Max being able to get a NK class Kidney, but you bring up an excellent point. What's the difference between the NK Kidney and the early 1600 ten slat kidney?? I don't know. Let's hope some NK guru jumps in here and can tell us.

I believe they are the same between early NK and early 1600.
