I'm being surly today ;-) Happy new year, Bill!

Bnam, people that have experience in the areas where you are seeking guidance may be more apt to respond if they recognize their area of experience based on your subject line.

Cheers,

Ray

Thanks for helping him learn Ray, he only has 47 posts.

He is asking good questions.

Especially if you are asking if you should go 2.5 litres in your M2 along with 4.10 ring and pinion and some carbon fiber body parts ;-).

Ya know, I stopped just short of suggesting "except Jim Gerock will astutely respond to any and all posts."

Hahahaha!

Re: ...write a descriptive subject line? easy!

I agree, posts like these w/o a subject title are a forum's headache. Sure, not everyone does it and its tolerable (to a point), but if say 25% did do the same, you would all be complaining. Take it from a current forum moderator!

........... back to the question

perhaps there is still remnants of the old bushing,

or glop, or tape on the shaft - get a light and look closely

with clean metal - the new bushing will press on easily and stay put

Instead of greasing the back side of the pedal, get a piece of Slick Tape--woodworking shops should have it--or someheavy duty Teflon tape and stick it to the back side of the pedal where the bushing contacts it. Works much smoother and won't get all gummed up with dirt like grease will...
