Wow, that's just astounding! I'd like to know the real story behind that... who buys a car and puts that much effort into preserving it? 2800s were very nice cars, but they were never bound to be especially collectible.

I thought it was some time in '71. This would assume it was '69.

door and window handles, light switch, dome light, underhood bits (relays, voltage regulator etc)...and that wood-rim bus wheel! Quite a time warp. They had just been introduced to the US and were the "rich guys" BMWs in the showroom when I bought my '69 2002...

That's the corduroy upholstery material I've been searching for to re-do my E21 recaros to match the caramel interior on my '73...
