Has anybody ever seen the China Syndrome? There's a brown '74 (or 75-6 judging by the different headrests) 2002 in it, owned by main character Jack Lemmon. An awesome car chase ensues in the climax of the movie, the 2002 screeches all over the road and it's very entertaining to watch.

Also another worthy mention is the 2002 in katahrisis exousias, which is a Greek movie from 1971. Apparently the car involved in this movie is a 2002ti, but I have no idea as it never stands still in the movie.

I saw it, it was on netflix instant watch before, i think it may have been removed though. I love the contrast between the big American car ( I don't remember what make and model) and the 2002.

Another Greek movie with a 2002 chase is O Panikos (1969), but in this one the car is tearing it up on the city streets.

And an Italian movie is Roma Violenta (1975), This chase is between the baddies in a 2000 ( no 02), and the hero in an Alfa Giulia Super .

And a french movie,L'homme pressé (1977), with a 3.3L, this one is just various clips from the movie with some with it chasing a mini. Don't you love the way he slaps the gear knob around.

My favorite is a French black comedy with Jacque Brel, "A Pain in the Ass." The assasin in the hotel room next door drives a 1600 Touring. I was thinking about the movie when I bought my first 02, a 71 Nevada, in 1978.

The Siennabraun '76 in The China Syndrome turned up for sale on EBay a few years ago. I did not save the details. It was in good, but not great shape as I recall. The car was well cast in the part of Jack Lemmon's car.

I've always loved the chase scene in the China Syndrome; I remember it when the movie came out. 2 years ago when I got my Siennabraun '76 I put it on Netflix: automotive propaganda to win over my wife to my new hobby.

There is a square tail light one in the movie "backdraft" and of course he comes out in the morning on his first day on shift and it wont start haha

The pilot of CSI has a brown square tail in the opening sequence. One of the detectives drives up in it.. The vid is on youtube.

In the director's cut/special edition of "American Grafitti" there is a special feature showing the actors doing screen tests. The in-car portions were filmed in an '02 judging by the headrests and door panel. It's odd to see the actors doing the scenes that are in the classic cars from the fifties in the actual movies.
