Recommendation on getting the OG steering wheel nut off---thing won't budge!

Also, just to clarify the socket is 22mm.

What I had to do to pop it off was get a long 22mm socket and have me and my dad hold onto the wheel countering the pressure to not snap the steering collumn lock while he toruqed it loose. Mine was really tight too.

Lefty loosey, correct?! I use the 1/2" ratchet & a 5" extension with the 22mm socket. You can keep the wheel locked (key out of ignition) to crank the offending nut counter-clockwise, but you run the risk of damaging/breaking the steering lock mechanism. Consider a breaker bar (e.g., jack handle) over the end of the ratchet, for more leverage.

I use a 2 foot breaker bar and hold the steering wheel. Doesn't need to be super tight when it goes back on.

Here's my steering wheel, it's a CS Coupe wood rim wheel I restored and modified to make the horn work.

It has the same dish as the stock bus wheel and is 2-3 cm bigger.

This in my Jackie Stewart Momo. It's a little on the small diameter side but so far I like it. I had one like it before but has silver finished spokes and is in real rough shape. Horn works sometimes, I need to look into it. Turn signals work fine.

Do all nrg wheels fit on momo hubs?

Just Googled your question and got this:

MOMO Hubs will also fit SPARCO OMP NRG SABELT ISOTTA steering wheels, all MOMO Hubs have six bolt mounting pattern, the distance from center to center of the facing holes is 2.75" You may loose the horn and the turn cancel feature on some cars depending on the electric wiring of these cars.
