I'm a little bit sore on this guy. This ad is a flip. It was on CL for about a day, right after Christmas. I went over there on a Sunday afternoon and put in a down payment on the $3k sale price. Later that day the lady called and said she couldn't sell because she had lost the title. That was a lie. She ended up selling it to this dude for a little bit more and all he did was take all the spare parts and bits that were in the car, out of the car. Really kills me that he's a flipper. The lady who was selling it to me (for her husband, whom I met while I was there) said that they'd owned it for about 10 years. He originally was asking $6,500. And, to his credit, he did say he had to pay a few hundred in back fees to the DMV, and to tow it over to his place. So I'd pay him $3,500 for it.

Shell looks very clean!

Nope. Quite a few rust holes. The passenger side rocker and stringer (and pan, partially) is thin or missing. The rocker is damaged. I thought $3k was high for the body work that's needed.

I kind of saw this coming too. He didn't sound like he knew what he was getting into. +1 on the price, $3k sounds high especially laid out on the driveway in pieces.

Now I dont like the back story on that. I hate when people do that to ya... 3500 sounds fair though, sad this guy is trying to make some $ off of it...
