WTB 2002 Atlanta area

I have been with out a 2002 now for over 6 years, I just finished my latest project, a 97 z3 and sold it, so now I'm ready and looking, I would like a roundie, but may take a 74-76 if the deal is right, I have been looking a at local 74, but it has tons of rust, some in the wrong places...... So I am still looking, I restored 3 02's over the years I will post a photo of the last one I did, some of you Portland/Vancouver guys may remember my car. So if anyone has or knows of any one wanting to part with an 02 please let me know.

I dont mind a little rust or minor body work, I plan on doing another turbo clone, so a little rust in the fenders wont kill me, I dont want a restored car want to do it my self.

I live 25 miles SW of Atlanta Ga so close to that would be great!

Have you come across Jason from Heritage Motorsports yet? Here's his website: http://heritagemotorsports.us/

I don't know if he has any 02s at the moment but he may know where one is. Plus, he can help you get plugged in to the ATL 02 scene if you have lost touch with it.

I'm about to help my brother in law sell his 76, but it's mint so you may not be interested.

Also, I've seen a Turkis in the Jonesboro area on C'list a time or two in the last year. It looked like a good candidate and may be fairly close to you.

Jason is moving into a new shop in Kirkwood as we speak so be sure to come to his next meetup. Maybe someone there can help your search.

I have a 1974 tii that has been in storage for ~20 years. It is all there, a few spots of surface rust-not bad. It's polaris/marine blue. Engine appears to be seized. I'll take $4,000 as is. Car is in Alamo,GA (175 mi. south of Atlanta)

Thanks for the info! I did contact the owner of the Craigslist car and didnt get the time of day from them, and you are right I am not looking for mint 02. I went to your link and he only has 1 02 atm and its a little out of my price range, lol ok a lot out of my price range.

Just brought home a 74 2002, its pretty rusty, but should be fixable, so not looking any more for a car, just parts, lol!
