different kind of blinker/flasher issue

hi guys,

what would cause the blinkers to only work on the rear tail lights but not up front? bulbs in the front are good and light up when i turn on the lights, they just don't flash. this is for turn signal and hazard lights. worked about 2 weeks ago but for some reason, the fronts don't want to blink any more (both sides). thanks.

Sounds like it's time for a new flasher unit.... Especially if the indicator on your your instrument cluster doesn't flash.

thanks, looked into this and my flasher unit is fine. cluster flashes as it should. any other thoughts?

Low on blinker fluid in the front?

Check your grounds, maybe a mouse chewed up the power line to the front turns?

Dual filament bulbs. Doubt that they both blew at the same time but check them.

have an "on street parking light feature" that allows you to turn on your front and rear parking lights with the turn signal lever when the ignition is off. I believe the squarelight cars are wired this way, but the feature isn't hooked up on US cars.

This means that there are separate contacts on the turn signal lever itself. I'd check the lever to make sure the contacts are clean and passing current. Also, the front turn signals are grounded via the housing mounting screws, a kinda dodgy method. If the screws are rusty, replace 'em with stainless steel screws.
