Wanted: Shift Boot Trim Piece

Does anyone have one of these or know where I can buy one? Well, actually, not just like this one but rather one that isn't broken!

Now I don't fell alone . My car had aftermarket air in it, which I removed, and the center consul I picked up was missing this part which is necessary to install the stock rubber shift boot, the add on air shift surround had the part attached to it and I installed it on the stock surround , it works but it is brittle and cracked a bit. I checked for a part # but none of the sites shows it as a separate part ,only as part of the surround? If you find anything out about a source for a new one let me know. I was thinking about making one out of thin metal, it doesn't show after the boot is installed.

Yeah, I couldn't find a part number either.! Given that they are really fragile and plastic (that ages), I don't hold out much hope that there is still one out there...

The behr console has 4 screws securing a metal "ring". The long console non ac has a plastic lip. The shorter bmw 1826703.1 also has a plastic lip. Fabricating is your best route.

I have some plastic clip in retainer rings that fit vinyl boots or the rectangular rubber shift boots to hold form.When the flimsy retainer ring breaks away on your plastic shifter console,clean things up flush and clip your boot into place.
