Kugelfischer pump fuel return leak.

Finally got my tii started back up today. And realized that it had started to leak from the fuel return valve of the Kugelfischer pump. Is there a o-ring or washer I can change out on my own? Or is it pretty much a pump replacement at this point?

Thanks

The o-ring used to only be available by buying the check valve. Back in the 80's that part was $78. A lot of us just got a damn o-ring that fit and ran with it.

If you're looking for the check valve, Earl just posted this yesterday:

Who was it looking for a source for the fuel pump check valve, I found a source. I have purchased quite a few item from this shop for my 72 1800ES.

Steve,

Thanks for the quick reply. So the check valve is home replaceable I assume? Would the o-ring come with check valve?

Thanks again!

Earl's Ref. is for a fuel delivery pump at the back of the car -

it's check valve which holds rest pressure in the system

when the car is switched off.

the fuel return valve at the back of the injection

pump is different

That check valve doesn't look like the one on my Kfischer. Are you leaking from right where the fuel return hose comes out of the pump?

Its leaking from where the damping valve connects to the pump body on the diagram on the right.:

It been giving me leaking problems ever since I got the car. I already swapped out the suction valve o-rings. And now the damping valve is leaking...
