I think it all depends how the bar sits relative to your grill.

I really like it on my '02, gives it more of a sport appearance,

as if there is the potential to mount some spots there...

[ of course I know that wasn't the intention, but still ]

To each his own.

The bumper protection bars are similar in design to the over-riders on a pre-68 VW (USA only)

Since most USA '73 2002's are equipped with the low pointed guards, did the Amco front bar have a different shape (than those for the upright style front guards)????
