Nice work!

My parents (Dad) bought me my 73' almost 14 years ago (in July) when I was 16. That car has influenced a lot in my life, inspired a lot of DIY projects, design, manufacturing all of that good stuff.

I hope he enjoys and loves it! I can't get rid of mine, and am having a son (due this week), so we will see if I can give it to him when he is 16.

We are putting a recored radiatior in this evening. He is driving ity 80 miles ruond trip every day right now. On mine there was a little cutout on the bottom of the air cleaner housing... It has a little plastic elbow that screws in when you drill that cutout out' date=' then attach a hose. I'll remove it to show you what I mean when I get home :)[/quote]

So does your son plan on reinstalling beltline trim and what not? Side markers? IMHO polaris looks great on a 76 with all the trim... I'm looking at mine now =)

I agree!!

He said he intends on painting it back polaris and using the sticky belttrim that many of us are using now.

Personally I would go without belt trim and knee trim. Too many chances for rust (my car got the rust issue...). And with Polaris the chrome wont add a whole lot. But thats my personal opinion. Either way it'll look good!

I think Polaris looks dumb without it. Here was mine at the end of it's "car" life... scan0005.jpg

Bleh.

A Polaris with shiny new stick on trim looks pretty great, though. And using stick on trim eliminates much of the potential for rust.
