WTB Alternator spacer

I have a Tii with a non-tii alternator. I've seen pics of a spacer that can be used to convert the non-tii alternator to fit on the tii mount. Mine is mounted with a strap and a block of wood.

FYI: I don't know what Bosch is distributing these days, but back in the 90s, the tii part number came with a spacer pressed in, in that location. I'm guessing they didn't have enough tii cores to assemble them as original.

Try aluminum or steel spacers at local hardware store (I loathe installing hardware store crap on BMWs, but this might be an exception). Cut to fit. Should be TIGHT/SNUG before tightening bolt.

Also - that bolt (the long one) is originally a hardened bolt (grade 10 or 12 fastener). A standard grade 5 or grade 8 bolt can snap off / shear during tightening.
