Do wheel spacers get stuck to rotors?

I am about to install a set of thin wheel spacers and i had a friend warn me before i do so saying i should apply anti-seize to them. He said he had wheel spacers get stuck to his rotors and couldn't get them off, thus ruining his rotors.

It was the first time i have heard of this happening.

I worry that a coat of anti-seize will not mate the two surfaces very well.

any thoughts?

They are just 3mm spacers. nothing major.

they can often stick/mate/bond to the hub face of the rotor.....

make sure to clean up the hub face well....and you can use some anti sieze, no biggie.

or you can dismount the wheel/tire every 2 months or so just to free them up....

but antiseize is fine.....

I think the issue is the 2 differing materils of the rotor hub face and the spacer..alu vs steel....

I have had alot of issues over the years removing alu wheels off the car just to change wheel or rotors....I have to really work them for 5 or 10 min!.....

If you ever owned a boat trailer you would know that anti-seize can be your friend on lug nuts. The stuff is kinda messy but if you are worried about the spacers getting stuck it can't hurt to apply some sparingly (just keep it off the disk itself).
