1974 BMW 2002 - Green - CHICAGO AREA - $5900 **MANY PICS**

Up for sale is a 1974 BMW 2002. If you're reading this ad, you already know how amazing of a vehicle this is. There is nothing like driving a Classic BMW 2002! This car is located in Algonquin, but I can bring to Schaumburg or Palatine for serious buyers.

I bought this car about one month ago. After owning it for a short time and taking it to a body shop, I found that I was ill prepared for the amount of money that needed to be spent for a true bare metal paint job while trying to find new panels that were rust free.

I just spent lots of $$ in maintenance to get this baby running reliably and every time!

She just got the following changed this past week on recommendation from a BMW Master Technician (the pics below were taken before all these parts got put on):

1. New Synthetic Fluids (Transmission, Differential, Engine)

2. New ATE Brake Fluid Flush

3. New BMW Coolant Flush

4. New Valve Cover Gasket (old one was leaking).

5. New right rear brake cylinder and brake line.

6. New Filter for the Weber 32/36 Carb.

7. New Oil Filter

8. New Spark Plugs

9. New Distributor, Cap, Wires

10. New Wiper Blades

11. New Fan Blade

12. New BMW Brake Master Cylinder

13. Top End Engine Cleaning (Carbon Cleaning)

***** All work was performed by a BMW Factory Trained MASTER Technician. ******

As mentioned, the car is very sound mechanically. Body wise, the car isn't too bad either.

"THE BAD"

• Few rust bubbles on the belt line trim on the hood.

• Both Driver and Passenger doors have slight rust on lower door corners.

• Some rust in spare tire wheel well. (I've sprayed it with rust stopper already)

• Some rust on floor pans (new floorpans are around $150/ea) - Rear driver side floor pan is rusted also.

"THE GOOD"

• Car was re-painted within the last 10 years.

• Rear Shock Towers Look Good.

• Newer Fuel Tank

• Seats are in great condition overall. The driver side seat has a couple splits. I've gotten a quote of approx. $180 to re-pad and re-stitch the little tear.

• The dash looks great! There is a hairline crack, but not too noticeable.

• Carpets look good.

• All glass looks good.

• Upgraded Weber 32/36 Carb w new filter.

• Upgraded ANSA Sport Exhaust.

• Paint is SHINY!

• Spoiler!

• Factory BMW Keys (w spare)

• Wired for speakers (speakers included, you just need a deck)

• Clean inside and out.

**THIS CAR IS NOT A CONCOURS WINNING CAR SO PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT THAT OUT OF IT!**
