Had a chance to clean things out a bit week before last with the help

of a local 02 enthusiast/owner. Not much to say as far as what was found

inside the car after cleaning the interior.

Got the flat tires off and found upside down Bilstein

shocks on the rear. Consistent with the originality of this Ti.

Appreciate any replies, thoughts or opinions to stay on topic.

Thank You.

Jim,

Share more info like what specifically on the radio?

The radio and speaker are original. Should be Blaupunkt.

I have a couple of extra original early radios and speakers.

Make and model of those parts?

The rear plate holder is the original euro plate set-up.

It is adjusted/pushed all the way together to fit the IL plate

on the car from '73.

I don't get a chance to mess with the car much at all if any during the week. Mostly a weekend project.

Thanks Rob. Was curious about the make/model of the "short" console radio and speaker. Becker/Blaupunkt?

I wasn't aware that rear tag holder is adjustable.

If the rears are upside down, are the fronts Alpina? We took a ti apart, and I don't remember upside down rears.

Good luck with the continuing project

Thinking about selling the project along with all of the parts accumulated over the last 20+ years.

EDIT: car is staying put and will be restored correctly.  Perhaps our grandson will like to be part of the process.

Now that his mom drives a BMW he has already stated he wants one himself.

Wow, really?

Big step!

I might have to make it to SLO for a third time if that is what you decide.

Rob- any updates on the two cars? I see the under dash console for early optional rear window defroster but don't know which car that is- 69 or 70. Are both cars ti's?
