What tool should I use to remove this

Trying to get this crimp off of my sunroof cords so I can put a new attachment on the end. I would then need to re-crimp it to hold the attachment on.

I have the Golde power sunroof so I can't just buy replacement cords.

Any suggestions on how to remove the crimp and them where to find a new one?

Thanks!

Hmm. One might be able to solder the old crimp back on, perhaps.

(I never had a sunroof '02).

Carefully cut through (split it) end to end with a Dremel/cutting wheel.

No clue about a new crimp though.

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P

Don't bother.....If you've got a manual Sunroof...Go to pick a part and find an early 80's Volvo or VW and pull the cables. They are the same as the BMW ones....Its in a thread here somewhere.

Thanks for all the suggestion everyone.

Sounds good. I've got a dremel so this should work.

Sounds very plausible. Someone off forum just suggested 3/16" brake pipe. Not sure what that is.

Would love to, but I have the early Golde power sunroof. Very rare as I have only met one other 02er who has one.

Thanks everyone!
