Another, cheaper (by like...2 bucks) option you can also find at Lowe's, Home Depot, Menard's, etc is called Frost King. It's for ductwork. 15'x12" rolls for about $12. I used it inside the car and it made a huge difference. In some areas I doubled it up too. 2 rolls is plenty for the interior sans under doorpanels. FYI they make one that is just insulation with aluminum backing, the other is actually like Dynamat...aluminum with some 1/4" material then sticky backing.

I have used Quick Roof on my old Toyota truck along the firewall and floorpans. It gave the cabin a very nice....well...insulated sound (engine noise is now bass-y and deep). I also used the equivalent brand at Lowe's whatever its called and it sucked....peeled off after just a few months. The Quick Roof is still working strong. I'm going to use it in my '02.

See here if you haven't already and do a channel search for sound deadening:

Any type of odor associated with this material?

I have heard with the warmer temps the tar like odor may be present. You want to be careful on which one you choose dynamat although more $$ never gives off any odor.

For me, based on input and esty's work coupled with R&D skills, Home Depot it is. (Esty, post another pic of the saddle interior with the sage flecked carpet. It is like looking at XXX 02 porn.)

Thanks for all the help. I will post results and findings.

THANK YOU!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The white gauges pop.

Question. Is there a chance of any "roofing" aromas?

Always a chance of roofing aromas when using roofing material. It sounds like some have had good results I would ask which brand and type spec to be sure.

I paid more money for dyamat it it's been 6 years and great results.
