Walter: You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me. I'll get you a toe by this afternoon--with nail polish...

OMG. Driving home from work on Tuesday, I rolled up next to a car carrier that had a gorgeous early (SWB) white 911 with small round driving lights on the front and Fuchs wheels. Tried taking a pic but my iPhone wasn't quick enough out of the console.

Reminded me of this way cool '68 that was parked at the Foreign Affairs shop in Staunton, VA last year...

These old Porsches are cool indeed. My goal with this 912 is just maintenence and nailing down the ride height and handling. I have a set of rear spring plate bushings to go in and when I do that, I'll get the rear height right. I have also found (but not bought yet) a complete early front sway bar setup. Might get the front valence straightend out and I'm looking for a set of fog light delete plates.

The defining feature of the SWB cars is no rear fender flare at all. The LWB cars 69 on have a very slight flare.
