This is what I look at all day.... One screen Solidworks-3D modeling, one screen other Microsoft stuff. The brain is a Dell Optiplex 990 (Intel core i7 -2600 CPU @3.40 GHz)with 16GB of memory. What do you look at ..post some pics!

While my office has no windows, my office is adjacent to Studio 8H at Rockefeller Center, home of Saturday Night Live. I keep my door open and watch all the sets, props, crew and cast members and host walk by for 20 shows a year. Last seasons final show Mick Jagger and the Foo fighters were rehearsing and I sat in my office chair and listened for a few hours. Not so bad.

Schematics, physical layouts, simulation results for moderately complicated analog electrical circuits. All while stuck in a windowless blue/grey cubicle, which is a huge improvement from the salmon cubicle I had when I started.

And when I get home I'll be staring at wiring diagrams and debugging wiring for my 02. Since I'm an electrical engineer, its about the only thing on my 2002 that I feel reasonably competent at.

Nothing I'd rather do. Though I prefer back roads, usually too busy for that office pic.

Welcome to my office, and the reason I haven't been spending much money on my cars in the last few years. It's a 11K Snap-On box. Some of the tools in it date back to my great-grandfather, quite a few from grandpa, some from my uncle, a couple from dad, but most were purchased by me over the last 20 years. The computer is a MacBook Pro that has VMware so that I can still run the BMW programs like ETK, KSD, TIS, and of course the downloaded '02 parts manuals from the Tii register, etc....

Rarely am I actually standing in front of the screen unless I'm at lunch or looking up a procedure or part for a newer Bimmer.P1020635.jpg
