Bimmer has been in the shop for nearly 2 weeks with a fuel issue. Rebuilt carb didn't solve it. Runs fine when plugged into the shops gas tank, but mine causes it to run rough.

Could be the fuel line. Pump is running weak as well, though I installed a new one about 6 months ago.

Been in the market for a pick-up, so given the delays with getting my 2002 back, I went all out and picked up this thing... it's a beast.

Hi,

this is a problem i have seen many times.

the fuel line is old in the trunk from the plastic

line to the tank sender. it allows very small

bubbles to get into the line and cause the car

to starve for fuel and run rough. replace the line

and make sure that the plastic sleeve on the

sender is in good condition or seal it with

some fuel proof permatex then install new

line and new clamps.
