My new 1800ti

Recommended Posts

My 1965 1800ti finally arrived today. It has been off the road since the early '90s. But the guy I got it from bought it from the original owner. Looks like it is pretty complete. Bristol over red. Still has the Solex carbs on it.

The BMW 1800 TI VIN 1410352 was manufactured on April 28th, 1965 and delivered on June 24th,1965 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Bristol, paint code 058.

Thanks guys. Tom, really looking forward to coming out to CA for the drive and finally getting to meet you.

Nick, I am hoping to get the car drivable first then deal with the body work and cosmetics later. The seller sent all the sheet metal needed for rust repair. I think it would be neat to drive it with some patina for a time.

great idea - enjoy it before deciding on any major off-road time.
