Looks kinda shaky from this angle.

As long as we are on the topic:

and the followup:

This is one guy's alternative to jackstands.

Stay safe, fellas. Use redundant safety support systems.

THIS is boneheaded:

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- It's dangerous, illegal and hard to imagine, but a Canadian man was recently caught filling up plastic garbage bags with gasoline.

It's no secret that lots of Canadians drive to Whatcom County Costco or Fred Meyer stores to fill up their tanks. One woman said she saves $17 on just one tank of gas by filling up in America.

While there's nothing wrong with wanting to save some money, Sgt. Mark Dennis of the Washington State Patrol said one man went too far when he filled plastic garbage bags with gas at a Bellingham Fred Meyer.

Gasoline and its vapors are volatile and, under the wrong circumstance, can be explosive.

The person who took the photos at the gas station asked to remain anonymous and said his family is already getting hate mail. But the witness did say he watched as the man filled three bags full of gas and then put those bags inside his car.

When he notified a Fred Meyer employee about the gas, he said the attendant just shrugged his shoulders.

State patrol officials say the only legal way to carry gasoline is in an approved container.

"You run the risk of all sorts of potential if there was an impact or anything like that," Dennis said. "You simply wouldn't want to have loose gasoline inside of a car."

Reached Friday, a Fred Meyer spokeswoman said the man in the photo is a regular customer. She couldn't corroborate that an attendant was notified about the incident, but did say it's company policy not to let anyone fill up if they don't have an approved container.

The store has turned the incident over to the police. For their part, police say if you see anyone filling up a non-approved container, you should call 911 to report it.
