I'm there in 4/88! how coincidental, I was reading the repair file on my 2760136 this morning, noted that the earliest entry was '88. I'll have to look in my copy and read the ad. It came from tulsa, was in the hands of a flipper, then went to Milwaukee and Kenosha Wi before I got it four years ago. Are you archiving this stuff in a seachable way? This is truly valuable info! Has anyone entered the vins to the registry?

I haven't looked at the registry spreadsheet yet to compare the numbers. I have a feeling Les in TX has already plugged most of them into the sheet.

The ad reads:

Sapphire/black, 25,000 miles on complete mechanical and body restoration. Sunroof, air, driving lights, AM/FM/CS (B?). Enkeis with P6, concours winner, like new, no rust, $ 10,500. Steve Mackey, Tulsa, OK (phone number omitted but I can e-mail you them).

Earliest I have on your 2760136 is....Roundel ad Jan '86.

For sale by John Estep, Arlington, VA.

Not sure if the ad mentioned Arlington, or I got that from the area code. I know some area codes cover a wide area.

wow, it's been around! thanks for the research. I have all roundels since I joined in 82, and some earlier as well. I also have lots of duplicates which need weeding.

I have catalogues, brochures, parts books etc. from '78 and later, if you ever need scan fodder, let me know.

You have dangerous literature. I used to collect catalogs, stickers and glossy new car brochures (from the DC auto shows) when I was a kid.
