I can't say anything for the 2002 springs but in the e30 and e36 world, the Bav Auto springs have a rep for being a little soft and saggy. This was very evident on my friends e36.

I don't remember ever hearing anything bad about the IE stage 1 springs.

I have no experience with their 2002 springs though.

Obviously, neither of them make their own springs--I think the IEs are made by Eibach and the Bavs are maybe B&G? I have the IEs w/ HDs and I'm very happy with the stance and the road manners/ride quality.

Since I had IE before on my 1970, so I orderd again

The IE springs are great for a stiff ride with sport shocks. I just took them off. I got tired of the bad roads here downtown.

I went back to stock with the sport shocks. So far a great ride
