69 1600 project for sale $1300

I am relocating to Irvine from the Bay Area and need to shed a few cars I have...... I purchased the car from a gentleman who took it in as payment for a debt a client owed him along with three other cars (not BMWs). That said I was not able to get any info about the cars mechanical condition etc.

First to go will be a 1969 1600 project. This is a chamonix on navy blue interior car It is a complete car front to back but is not running and I have not had the chance to tinker with it at all. I have no idea of the condition of the engine. I believe the engine is original to the car and is all there except for the distributor which was MIA when I bought the car. It looks as if the previous owner took a few items off the car for another project. I have a few of the missing parts in my stash that will go with the car but need to dig them up this weekend to confirm that I have them.

Overall this is a good solid car with some of the usual issues 02s tend to have.

Other things I should mention that I have noticed;

1. Ignition switch is drilled out and switch currently hanging below dash

2. drivers side grill is bungled (passenger side looks great) kidney OK

3. Rear bumper dinged up but fairly straight

4. Rust; spare tire well, hole under front bumper in lower left of valance,

some minor bubbling on one of the rockers. Very straight car over all and

wearing most of its original paint which is in ok shape (ratty driver)

5. Interior is shabby but all there and all original except for drivers seat

which has a recover job on the bottom seat cushion. Missing console,

window cranks, bottom column cover.

6. differential in trunk when I bought the car

Good points:

- very straight car overall

- uncut door panels

- all original down to carb, hubcaps, lic plates, etc.

- Blue and yellow California plates (plates will be kept depending on price)

- very clean car overall

- rebuilt radiator (tag on top tank)

- mostly original paint.
