Luckenbach TX. Huh?

I was on my way to Luckenbach TX. anyway. I know it was called off, but I already made plans and needed to drive my 02 anyway.

So off I go. I live near Sea World in San Antonio and I made it as far as Rudy's on Boerne Stage Road. As I came to the red stop light at the intersection, my red oil pressure light came on and the car began to sputter and almost stopped. It didn't stop though. So I made the left at the light and hauled it back home. I only had a few lights to stop at, and each time my red oil pressure light came on, but the car did not sputter. The idle was steady between 800 and 1000 and smooth..?????????

I made it home and parked the car.

This happened before, and I tightened my negative battery cable. Problem solved.

I'm thinking about upgrading my alternator. Will that solve the problem..

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I know someone (including my wife) is thinking this. You shouldn't have tried to go in the first place.

Maybe, but then I wouldn't have had this great story.

Thanks Jason.

I'll figure out what happened when I consult with my mechanic.. Then it's back on the road.

I'm feeling a long road trip coming.

Is the battery still in the stock location? If so, you may want to check the lead off the positive side of the battery that powers up the fuses, etc.

Battery is moved to the trunk.- I will check the leads. When this happened before. I tightened the negative lead and that did the trick.

02Les-It probably is orange, I'm getting old, but it is the left indicator light. The right indicator is not on. I've already alerted Bert.

Thanks
