recaro child seats

Hey guys,

My daughter is about to outgrow her initial child seat and looking at these. Recaro means quality but wondering if you have personal experience with this particular model? anyone? For the short term it will be fitted into our VW 2006 mk4 golf. then perhaps into a scion xb with hopes to one day put it in an 02.

We have two of them.

The 04 TDi Jetta Wagon has the Recaro young sport. It's the one with the built in 5 pt harness. It then converts to to use with a seat belt when they get older. Check with local laws as to how big and how long they have to be in what seat.

My e30 has the larger Recaro seat. It's the one with the speakers in the headrest. This one only works with a seat belt. It's very high quality and the comfortable one of the two. They have to be of seatbelt/booster age and size for this one.

Recaro Vivo in both daily drivers. Honda CR-V, Subby Outback, previously had a Chevy Suburban

Daughter 7 years old 48# at 48"

Previously used a Britax Boulevard 5 point infant car seat.

When we started to look into booster seats, it was my wife whom suggested the Recaro.

we'll probably go through amazon though. $75 bucks off (like most of the other sites)

That's funny. When I go to that site it looks like an up and running Recaro web site. Maybe it's in the fine print?

in blue text is says no longer blah blah blah. sorta fine print.

You know? I think this happened once before. Maybe something to do with kids seat laws and Recaro not ready for certification at a time of the year. I think that might have happend when I got the bigger one (Vivo?). The eu is more lax than Ohio!

We were down in Atlanta visiting friends and were surprised to see their little 3 year old in a simple bottom booster.
