Bypass the rheostat on the light switch

Recommended Posts

After searching, then thoroughly cleaning the rheostat to dim the dash lights, I still don't get bright lights there. That's with new bulbs, also.

So, has anyone bypassed the rheostat completely? If so, would you share how you did this?

I really don't mind them being bright all the time.

Thanks

but jumping the rheostat might be worth a try. I'll bet substutiting some LED bulbs would be an even better improvement....NY1 know of a good substitute?

here was my fix, put on some good ole rock and roll, Halen Segar or Stones, play one side of an alblum, using your left wrist to keep time work that knob til it burns, will wear off the corrosion til reo thanks you for that peaceful easy feeling, a shot of lube and mine works perfectly after a 23 year hiatus
