4.25 litres for Canadians. Get some clamps on that rubber dipstick tube. I agree with suggestion to butt it against block tube, then confirm mark by doing oil change.

259mm is the metric equivalent of the 10-3/16" measurement that was given.

I filled up my new engine with a new filter (the small one) 4.5 litres,I did a wind over to get the oil into the filter ect . Then a start, warmed up turned off, oil level is exactly at the top mark. Does that help ?

Had a tractor on Grandpa's place that two cocks on the pan. Initial fill till oil came out the top one. Daily check oil by cracking the lower cock. If oil came out, ok, if not then add 0.946 liters oil.
