73 2002 help me find my tach wire.

!973 2002 with pertronix ignitor, red coil and msd 6a. I have a tach adapter but I am having trouble finding this mysterious black wire that should have come from the tach. The only clack wire I can find goes to the (starter?) relay near the coil.

Is there a chance the tach wire is a different color in my car? can anyone help me find the correct wire and help me get the tach working again? do I use the grey wire (tach output) from the msd box?

I am lost...

Previous posts on this question. Black wire from tach can go to coil first, then on to dist., or vice versa, depending on year/model.

I have searched through the forum and the rest of the web, I just don't think my car has a black wire.

ok, found wire, it was changed( spliced) to a green wire green at some point. now i just cant get the tach to work with or w/o tach adapter.

where is this green wire connected?

It runs from the tach and used to go to the coil and condenser. I have tried running it to the black wire of pertronix ignitor and the tach is a no go. Does the other connector still need to go to - on the coil?
