1970 BMW 2002 Project-Northern California

The time has come to sell my project unfortunately. Plans of joining the Air Force with no place to store the car in the interim have pushed me to sell it.

The project started out as a complete and driveable, very straight, and fairly rust free Riviera Blue car. Shock towers are completely rust free and there is no rust through in the spare tire well. Since purchasing the car, I have replaced both doors due to extensive incorrectly performed body work, which led to rust through on the bottoms of both. The passenger door has been blocked out and is ready for paint. The driver door is in great condition and only needs minor body work. The nose of the car had the usual rust, but I cut out the rust and welded in a patch panel and body filled/ blocked the area. I shaved the fuel filler cap along with the front and rear reflectors/ marker lights. I also cut out the original radiator support and fabricated my own out of aluminum that serves as a front nose brace as well. The body only requires minor final filling/ blocking before it is ready for paint.

The interior has been sprayed with a 3m sound deadening coating.

The car comes with the following:

-All original parts removed during tear down besides the front and rear bumpers.

-Fully functional m10 and 4 speed from a later model 2002

-Original m10 that does not run

-Perfect glass all the way around

-recaro seats out of a later model 3 series (need brackets made to be bolted in)

-Original wiring harness

-One extra set of stock steelies and boxes of extra parts

-Extra E12 head

Here are a few phone pics I snapped. I don't have an exact price, but I'm open to offers. If you're genuinely interested email me at chancewick@comcast.net and we'll go from there.
