Diagnostic plug pin-outs

Good to know what all those are for. The only one I've known for sure is the most rearward. outboard hole is where I insert the probe for using my remote starter when adjusting the valves (have an automatic, so putting the car in gear and pushing it back and forth no-workie).

Look closely at the pin numbers before you stick any jumper wires or connect a diagnostic device to that socket. Mine was installed 180 degrees out by a PO. It simply snaps into the metal holder.

That's pretty neat! Now you've got me wondering if anyone knows of a source for the mating diagnostic connector piece... It'd make it a bit easier than trying to jam a piece of loose wire in there to make a connection.
