Anyone know whatever became of my Malaga 2.2liter Alpina tribute Emily?

VIN: 2590095

Last sold in the Northern VA / DC area by a broker type place a couple years ago +/-.

Just wondering. Would love to get in touch with her current owner and find out how she's doing! Last seen with Panasport type wheels (*sigh* such a WASTE of her signature Alpina steelies!)

I recall that she was consigned for sale here (http://www.classicmotorsdc.com/) and I remember seeing her parked in their lot along Wisconsin Avenue in upper Northwest DC. I think they ultimately sold Emily and may know where she is now.

I actually sent and received e mails from the place that last sold her. The person with whom I corresponded said he's be happy to pass along my contact information to the current owner. I;m not holding my breath. He *did* say that all the receipts and records were transferred with the car, which is GOOD. There were about $40k worth of receipts (of my own) as well as previous owner receipts- some as old as 1978ish.

My favorite receipt (dated 1980-something), hand written on a small slip of paper:

"bus fare to pick up car from repair shop $1.20"

Hopefully her new owner loves and appreciates all the effort that went in to the build.

I know Paul has connected with the owner. The owner seems like a very nice guy, school teacher I think. He put the car away for the winter so he hasn’t been trying to sell it non-stop.
