Whizbang's 2002!

Picked up this jewel (along with another 2002 for parts that will be discussed at a later time since im going to build it too) for a good price. She's mostly complete. Engine is present and accounted for! 

 

Had a minor incident using a dollie to get the car home (wheel came off and ate the 13x6 mesh up from the inside) but it got home despite it trying to kill me. 

 

Game plan? Track car.  Probably M42 swap (the m10 with the 121 head will be used as a core for Lina's rally car)

Welcome!  yeah, hows the factor bottom side?  Looks like the rims are in good order.

the rust isnt bad at all actually. the car was worked over some and then primed but not painted. So, primer did what it did best (absorb water) and it has a lot of surface rust. That's pretty much first order.

 

Probably build it to be legal for NASA time trails, redline time attack, etc.

Is it just me or when you find an 02 "just sitting there" you feel compelled to rescue it, give it some TLC and add it to the family.  This is an addiction!
