Shock Tower Bearing

By that do you mean the stud height is tall?  If so, and you have access to a welder, there is a simple solution.  Match the stud thread and desired height with a quality replacement stud.  Most good hardware stores have some.

Remove the existing tower bearing.

Place on a bench vise with enough of an opening for the stud head to fit.

Smack with a hammer

Replace the old stud with the new one

Couple of tack welds for good measure

Done!

I imagine you might be able to get away with no welding.  It would be a pain to install and tighten without the weld.

cut the bolt shorter and chase the thread, or,  the new production pieces can have the shorter stud length. If you are going to go through the process of putting one on, might as well install a new one.
