68 1602 Project

Up for sale is my 1968 BMW 1602, clean non-op California title. It was my daily driver for the first 6 months I had it then the head gasket blew and turned into a project that I'm not man enough to complete. I last started it a year ago then I started working on the electrical bugs and that's where I left off . The body needs some work but there's some prime real estate here. Has some dings here and there, nothing major though. Has rust at the rear of both rocker panels, other than that there is no structural rust, shock towers are clean, rust in the spare tire well and some surface rust here and there.

Has 320i engine and 5 speed transmission (trans has issue, can explain in further detail in email), E21 rear hubs/brakes with new shoes. Tii struts with rebuilt calipers from IE and new pads and rotors. Stainless flex brake lines from IE and new hard lines all around. Tires have less than 1000 miles on them, also have a set of 13" deep dish basket weave rims. Cylinder head rebuilt with new exhaust valves, IE rocker arm locks, new valve seals, head was checked for cracks, pressure tested, surfaced and had a valve job. IE silicone rubber hoses. Euro signals. IE urethane engine/transmission mounts. Weber 32/36 DGV carb which I rebuilt shortly after I bought the car, new fuel pump. IE mechanical advance distributor, new plugs and wires, new upgraded alternator. 4 into 1 exhaust header of unknown brand. Battery relocated to the trunk. IE short shift lever and platform. Momo steering wheel.

I have receipts for the parts listed above and for the machine work done on the head, I literally put 10 miles on it after the head work then parked it. The PO claims the guy he bought it from rebuilt the bottom end but had no receipts to back it so believe that if you want. However, before the blown head gasket it ran great, no knocks or ticks. I have a box of odds and ends, new door and trunk seals, a spare windshield and drivers side door. Will not part out, all or nothing. I'm looking to get $3000, maybe that's the sentimental attachment talking or I just need to step away from the crack pipe, shoot me an email I'm open to offers.
