Hi there 72 bmw here with a 1971 light (directional ) front !

Ok why ? My interior directional blinked once ,

Then on further speculation , cleaning every contact ... The new baulb is dim ?

Do I have the wrong baulb?

And it lights only when it touches steal ,

Is this a ground issue ? Why can't my lights work

Like before ? What happened ? It's a puzzle

Fuse is in yellow ? It's freaking me out a bit . Thanks

Try interchanging the wires at the lamp.  What you are describing is similar to what happens when the the flasher wire and the parking light wire and interchanged.

the ground for the directionals is the housing touching the body of the car, so you are getting a normal condition when the bulb has to touch steel to work.

If the bulb and wiring are both correct, the problem may be with the flasher unit itself.  Check the archives on how to adjust the little relay points inside the flasher unit to make the inside blinker light function properly.
