How Many '02's Are There?

In the southern tier area of NY,  I have just about the only 02 around.  I am at the Vintage in The Glen every year with it (The Granada 1600 parked on 7th street if you saw it) and rarely see any others at the vintage.  I think I only saw 2 others this year.  I live now in the Horseheads/Elmira area and there are NONE here.  There used to be a few around but as time passes in the rust belt, they have (literally) disappeared!  Sadly I am preparing to put the 1600 away for the winter so it will be off the road for the next 6-7 months.  I don't like to take chances up here in the northeast so I put it away well before the snow and will wait until after several spring rainfalls to remove any salt from the roads before I bring it out again.

JS, sorry I missed you at the Glen.  Maybe next year.  My '75 was parked in front of the Glen Way motel all day Friday.  I'll probably be at the same spot next year.

Thanks to all who replied. It sounds like there are still plenty out there, you just have to know where to look.

I'll be looking (I always am).  Last year I brought my 68 mustang but I try to bring the 1600 because there are always so few 02's there.

I'm in Athens Georgia which is a college town of about 130k people 65 miles east of Atlanta and I know of at least 12 '02s here in town. I don't see any of them regularly on the road (including mine!), but they are all runners and I know most of the owners. Have tried several times over the last few years to organize a get together, but unsuccessful so far.

My amateur Register has info on over 8000 cars with VINs and another 2000+ without VINs.

Info on around 10% is from Roundel mags from the '80s & '90s, but occassionally one of these will pop up.

Another 10%+ are cars from overseas and some that are destined for the wreckers yard.

New, to me, cars show up regularly and I add 20 to 30 cars (VINs)/month. There are a lot out there.
