3/8 hose does not easily fit the fuel pump coming from tank. I was not able to get a larger hose thru the hole in the trunk.( I can get the 3/8 hose on.)

 

Is there a new metric fuel line that may work?

8x13 equals 5/16in line.

 

the stuff from the tank to the pump under the car should be 12x18mm iirc.

 

all the metric stuff can be bought from blunt or any dealer.

I use yer basic 5/16" hose available from Pep Boys, wherever, etc.  Tank to fuel pump inlet is not high pressure, so the "cheap" stuff works just fine.  I also replace it every few years.

Careful of the 'cheap' hose.  I only use Gates Barricade line because some of the cheaper line and especially the line that has the cloth braiding on the outside (metric Cohline) is seriously compromised by the additives in modern fuels.  If you use it, check it yearly.

I am now curious as to the outside diameter of the hose you show in that picture.

 

AND I need to crawl underneath and verify what hose I actually installed ..... hmmmm.

IIRC - the new hose is 12mm I.D. x 18mm O.D. so the factory pipe in the body is a tight fit with new hose.  I have since changed my factory tii fuel pump to the in-tank E30 unit.
