other What Are Your 2002 Plans For 2014???

The year is quickly winding down to an end and I wanted to see what people are planning to do with or what work they want to do on their 2002s.  Whether trying to finish what you started this year or continue adding stories and memories with it.

 

My plans for next year as far as repairs would be to send out my speedo to North Hollywood Speedos or Palo Alto Speedos (maybe PA since I'm in the Bay Area) for repair since it's doing the helicopter dance right now.  I will glue needle on before I sent it out for repair (see pic). Might also do a tutorial on aftermarket steering wheel installs since I was unable to find one when I was doing mine (even though it's pretty straight forward, still good to have one).

 

I also plan on taking it to a few track days and Autocross events in the Bay Area.  I have tried to do it this year but too many things came up and just didnt have time.  But next year as of now seems to be quiet so it's time for it to play!!! 

 

And last but not least hopefully make it to SOCAL VINTAGE!!!

2014 plans for the '74tii:  buy gas, oil, oil filters, and car insurance ..... and just drive it.  Spend "upgrade" cash on shotgun ammo, trap shooting tokens, and lunches at Centro Basco.  It's good to be simple-minded and predictable.  And considering what I have already spent this year on ammo, tokens, and lunches, well, "upgrades" continue to remain unaffordable anywhere in the foreseeable future.

Finish the 2 and start the 16, the Golf is my restoration project, want her to stay original in her great golfiness, the 16 is my fun project, long term ti clone, short term daily driver with a dose of attitude, flat black with Alpina Red edges, Fat Momo wheels, put the 2s interior in her and spend the cash on new interior for 2, have two tight and right wisperin bombs by this time next year

Yes, it's for real. Also taking a car to the Greenwich Concours in Greenwich, CT.

Fly out to Oregon and retrieve my 73 RHD Targa to start on.  Continue with the current 74 Inka project.  the list goes on and on and on..I need a 2nd job to fund my addiction.
