Rhd Hood Latch Lever Location Question

Have tried searching on this topic but did not see what I was looking for...

In right hand drive 2002's, did BMW move the hood latch lever over to the right side?

If so, is the hood bar from a LHD car just reversed?

The right side fenderwell has the opening for the wiring harness - is the dimple for the hood latch cable inside the cabin?

Most, if not all of the pics I have seen showing RHD cars do not show the hood latch cable location.

That's a good question Jim.  Never thought of that one.  If nobody chimes in (Mike Self surely knows!) I'd look through Mike McCartney's book since that was produced in the English market...it has to have some pics, etc. of RHD '02's.

Lever is on the same side.........bloody nuisance if you have a RHD car.

Guess where the lever is on the LHD R53 MINI!

:-p

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P

Kinda surprising it's always on the left as the setup of the bonnet opening mechanism seems to be symmetrical, thus easy to swap to the right side.  I seem to remember reading that it's always on the left now that some of you have chimed in.  Quirky!
