1976 Golf Yellow 1502 (Uk)

Finally admitted to myself that I have to sell the 1502 to fund other purchases.

It's a 1976 car, in Golf Yellow - by far the best colour of all '02 colours. General condition is ok - it was my daily driver for a couple of almost faultless years before a long commute forced me to go for something a bit more diesel (though the 1502 does return 35-45mpg). I then made the stupid mistake of parking it on grass "for a few weeks", which turned into a few months. As a result though the top half of the car isn't too bad and it ran fine when last fired up in October, the underside of the car needs work.

As for the interior - when I eventually moved it from the grass in October I put it into my sister's garage "to keep it dry". I went back home to visit it a couple of weeks ago to find the garage leaks, and a nice pool of water in the rear footwell where the window had been open (hence the mouldy interior). The passenger window has never worked for me (the frame carrying it is broken), there's also a few tears on the seats and they could definitely do with some extra support. It would be useable with a good clean, but if you're looking at doing a restoration then you're obviously not going to be happy with a 38 year old interior. It does have a couple of great features - half a bottle of 2 year old Redex lead replacement, a minidisc player and a fan knob that adjusts the level of interference on the radio (but not the fans, which is why I completely forgot it even had fans fitted)

So all in all it's what you'd expect from a car that was used every day before being left to sit - in need of some work but not a complete no-hoper. I've priced it as such, having seen a car in worse condition going for £700 recently - I'm asking for offers around a grand.
