Fs-1987 325 (E30) In Cleveland, Oh - Many Nice Upgrades - $3,300

1987 BMW 325 (eta) sedan. 2.7L I-6, 5-speed manual, Schwarz/Perlbeige vinyl. Approx. 215,000 miles; I’ve owned it five years and about 60k miles, and I’ve built it as my take on a four-door 325es with some nice upgrades. Excellent mechanical condition—I drove it without incident 2,000 miles round-trip from Cleveland, Ohio, to Mid-America Fest in April, averaging better than 28 mpg. Still shines up and gets compliments.







Email for a full (and lengthy) rundown of the car and its maintenance history, but here are highlights.

Good:
-E30 M3 springs, Bilstein sports, M3 control arm bushings
-“MarkD” chip
-3.15 LSD
-Rebuilt Portland Driveline driveshaft installed last year
-325i dual exhaust, Supersprint cat-back
-Summer 205/60-14 Falkens on basketweaves, winter Michelins on bottlecaps
-Matching beige vinyl sport seats in good condition; M-Tech 1 steering wheel
-R-134a A/C conversion
-Aftermarket remote door locks work perfectly
-Lots of major maintenance/repairs in last 2-3 years; timing belt done 20k miles ago in 2011
-No structural rust that I’m aware of
-All major systems work as they should

Not so good:
-Clearcoat is failing, but it still looks decent from 10 feet
-Some minor dings/rust bubbles and a somewhat larger dent on driver’s door (not terribly visible from most normal viewing angles)
-A handful of secondary accessories (sunroof, trip computer, temp gauge) have some issues
