Weber Dcoe Problem

Hans

Recommended Posts

Twin 45 DCOEs, ignition on, electric fuel pump working, fuel drips from #2 barrel venturi locking bolt on bottom of carb. So fuel is getting into the barrel. I haven tested fuel pressure yet, but float levels were adjusted recently. Needle valve?

...unless the float is sinking a bit.  Then it'll do exactly what you describe.

Metal ones get holes in them

Plastic ones are reputed to get 'absorptive'.

I always carried a spare for racing, as the brass ones would crack sometimes.

But high fuel pressure, mis- set float level,  or leaky needle seat is more likely.
