Rallye car thread from my blog, car mentioned here is in a post back in 2010, pre-restoration apparently.

The VIN quoted by Coys is 3635815 which is a '72 manufacture. The car was built '74/'75 and has square rear lights. VIN error?? Maybe 3685815?

i don't know what they are called, but my car came with a set of five. they are stamped BMW 1972 on the back.

 

of corse the don.t really look alike at all  :)

Those are the optional alloy wheels available for all '02 models from around April '71.

Wow, I love those wheels in 7x13.  Even if I could find them here I'd have to go back to a stock front front brake setup, which I don't have, though.
